Challenge lifecycle
A Challenge attempt moves through statuses as it starts, runs, and ends. Labels in the product are the source of truth for what you see on screen.
Common statuses
| Status | Plain meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | The attempt is created or queued and is not fully active for trading yet. |
| Active | The attempt is live. You can trade under the Challenge rules (subject to any live restrictions). |
| Passed | The attempt met the Challenge rules for success. |
| Failed | The attempt did not meet pass conditions under the rules (for example, a risk breach). |
| Expired | Time or rules required the attempt to end without a pass. |
| Invalidated | The attempt was voided under product rules. |
Live session labels
During an active session you may also see related live labels such as Breached when a rule has been broken. Prefer the exact label shown in the UI and the Challenge rules for what it means for that attempt.
